This is to be a magazine dedicated to improving the cost-effectiveness of the healthcare system of the USA while simultaneously maintaining or likely improving the quality of medicine.
The Necessity of the Magazine:
The USA spent $4.5 trillion/year on healthcare or $13,493 per person in 2022. The founder of this magazine believes that at least 50% of that is redundant, wasteful, or otherwise preventable. It is imperative to address and reverse the inefficiencies plaguing our system.
Target audience:
- healthcare policymakers
- large purchasers of insurance (e.g. corporate entities)
- administrators of hospitals, clinics, medical offices, and the like
- physicians who wish to contribute and/or learn better patterns of management
- any healthcare user in the United States (i.e., all of Us)
Outcome Goals
A reduction of healthcare costs by at least 50% in the United States by a variety of measures to be enumerated by this magazine while maintaining or likely improving the quality of care.
